The Islamic legacy of intellectual development and the quest for knowledge cannot be disputed. Early Muslims were acknowledged for their conditions to various fields of education. This tradition of passionate quest for knowledge was tired by no other factor than the Islamic injunction making the search for knowledge (education) a duty for all Muslims, males and females; gave birth to what Islamic Education Trust (I.E.T) is up to today.
Education department is the first to come forward under which IET has a number of schools. Heading the Education department is the Inspectorate under the auspices of Director General. The Inspectors guide and supervise the schools, and to conduct inspections in order to make sure they attain the highest possible standards in all subject areas.
Today, the Islamic Education Trust manages nursery/primary schools in Abuja, Minna, and oversee a Model Islamic school at Wushishi. It is also the proprietor of the academically successful New Horizons College, a secondary school in Minna, Niger State.
